In-App Purchase (IAP)

Apple and Google's payment systems for digital goods sold inside apps. Both platforms charge 15-30% commission on IAP transactions. Crucially, physical goods sold via Shopify in a Shopify mobile app are NOT subject to IAP. Apple and Google explicitly exempt physical-goods commerce.
